Dear Grade Three Parents,

We started learning about fractions in math today. Ask me how we came up with the names for the fractions shown in these blocks.

For writing, we tried to put all the story elements we have been learning about together into a complete story that matched the picture below.  Ask me what my story was about.

We are finishing up our learning about Ukraine.  I will tell you what I know about the country.

May 29 – SPIRIT DAY: Career Day – What do you want to be when you grow up? Wear or bring something that reflects what you would choose as a career if you were old enough to work.

June 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 – Walk or Wheel to School Week

If students take the bus, they can walk or wheel to and from the bus stop. If students go to before and after care, they can walk or wheel in the evening to show their participation.

Students who walk or wheel (on a bike, scooter, roller blades or skateboard) three or more days during that week, will have their name entered into a draw to win a scooter and a helmet, donated by the Ward Three City Councillor's office. 

June 4 – 5:00 – School Council’s Annual General Meeting

June 6 – 6:00 to 8:00 – Family Dance - Have you bought a ticket and coupons for concession?

June 7 - All student library books returned to the learning commons

June 16 – Last day for registering for the Yellow School Bus service for the 2024-25 school year. (Click HERE for more information.)
