Dear Grade Three Parents,
It was a busy day!
We did our regular math stations working on basic facts, reading 4 or 5 digit numbers and know their place value.
We continued to work on using adjectives to describe gourds and guessed which ones people wrote about. Ask your child if students could guess theirs based on their description or what adjectives they chose to be specific.
Students were given a design challenge of creating a tool that could pick as many pumpkins from the pumpkin patch with the least number of scoops. Students were only given popsicle sticks and masking tape and only had 30 minutes to build. Ask your child if they had time to test their design.
