Dear Grade Three Parents,
We had to be flexible today because there were 4 teachers away and no guest teachers available. That meant Ms. White and Mr. Newton were in classrooms instead of teaching music and gym. Since several were away, our teacher swap read aloud has been postponed for now.
For math, we are working on our speed and accuracy with multiplication equations but trying to solve the highlighted questions first. Those who are able to, try to answer the other ones within the minute. x1 and x0 have been taught. After checking which facts students knew, some are on a different practice sheet. Ask me which questions, I am working on right now.
Even though Mr. Newton couldn't teach gym, we still went and played Fire and Ice. I will tell you the rules of the game.
After gym, we went to preview the book fair that will be open during the family literacy night from 3:30-6:30.

Due to this, the Hug & Go will be CLOSED for afternoon pick up on Thursday, April 25. Thanks for your cooperation!
FAMILY LITERACY EVENT OPEN HOUSE IS THIS THURSDAY
We are also hosting a Family Literacy Event on Thursday, April 25 from 4:30 – 6:00 where families are invited into their child’s classroom to play literacy games, have their child teach them some of the literacy stations they do at school, do some shared writing, etc.
This is an open house format with no sign up required. Families can come in any time between 4:30 – 6:00 that works for them. You can stay for a little bit of time or a longer bit of time, depending on what works for you!
When families come into the school, they will be given an entry sheet that their child can complete to enter to win one of six literacy game prizes as well as a Literacy Bingo sheet for families to take home.
We look forward to seeing you Thursday!
