Dear Grade Three Parents,

It was Stop, Drop and Read day!  Ask me what I read during those times throughout the day.

A tray of dirt with ice at the top was placed on an angle on a table at the front first thing in the morning so we could make observations as the ice melted.  I will tell you what happened.

For math, we practiced showing our thinking for multiplication by showing repeated addition and skip counting using a number line.

When it wasn't Stop, Drop and Read, we worked on balances in gym for gymnastics.

Being Earth day week, ask me what 10 things I came up with that can help the environment.

Ask me what I learned about glaciers and how they impact the land.

Using a straw and blowing lightly on a tray of soil, we simulated wind erosion. I will tell you my observations.

FAMILY LITERACY EVENT OPEN HOUSE IS THIS THURSDAY

This is an open house format with no sign up required. Families can come in any time between 4:30 – 6:00 that works for them. You can stay for a little bit of time or a longer bit of time, depending on what works for you!

When families come into the school, they will be given an entry sheet that their child can complete to enter to win one of six literacy game prizes as well as a Literacy Bingo sheet for families to take home.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday!
