Dear Grade Three Parents,
Tomorrow will be toy building for those that are done their design plan. That means they have a drawing, labels that say which materials they need for building and an explanation of how their toy works using a simple machine (lever, pulley, incline plane, wheel + axle).
I need to bring recycled materials that I can use for my design (if possible). It would be helpful if others could use materials too.
Some examples of materials to bring in are: cardboard, milk jug caps, wooden skewers, toothpicks, popsicle sticks, string, paper straws. Many materials will be provided at school.
Reminders:
- The grade 3 team has decided that we prefer daily agenda blog so will be going back to daily messages.
- Large ziploc bags were given to students to keep library books safe in their backpacks. Many are being returned to the learning commons damaged. This bag should 'live' in your child's backpack along with their green communication folder regardless of whether there are things in it.
- With the weather warming up, our school field is getting rather wet and muddy. Please make sure your child has a change of clothes in case they slip, get wet or dirty.
- Students are reminded to have labeled headphones in their backpack so they have access to them when using iPads or laptops.
- HAVE YOU BOOKED YOUR CONFERENCE FOR NEXT WEEK?
