Dear Grade Three Parents,

We are learning how to play pick-up sticks that are marked with different values (1, 10, 100, 1000, 10000). If the person can pick up a stick without the other sticks moving, the player gets to keep that stick.  All the sticks get sorted and totalled to find out who is the winner.

We learned about water safety. Ask me if I remember a water safety rule.

For writing, we practiced taking facts about India on the left and how to create complete sentences on the right or below.

Students are colouring a map of Canada and the 4 countries we will be learning about this year.

Ask me what colour zone these kids are in and why I think that (blue, green, yellow or red).

Reminders:

Those students that have joined lunchtime music club (grade 3 choir) have learned a song and will be performing it for their kindergarten buddies on Friday. Those parents who would like to see the song performance may come to the music room on Friday from 11:50-12:00
